CLEVENARD AND MORETELE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY SIGN MOU AND COMMENCE IMPLEMENTATION

CLEVENARD AND MORETELE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY SIGN MOU AND COMMENCE IMPLEMENTATION

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP MOVES FROM INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT TO ACTION

Moretele Local Municipality and Clevenard Strengthen Cooperation Following Consultation with Traditional Leaders

OCTOBER 2026 — PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN / MORETELE, SOUTH AFRICA — Clevenard Group Worldwide is pleased to announce the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Moretele Local Municipality, marking a significant new chapter in the relationship between Clevenard and the leadership, businesses, communities and institutions of Moretele.

The agreement moves the relationship from dialogue and international engagement into a structured phase of implementation, cooperation and opportunity creation. Clevenard and Moretele Local Municipality will work together to identify and develop opportunities in investment, trade, enterprise, tourism, culture, digital visibility, innovation and international partnerships.

A significant aspect of this development is that Mayor Cllr. Masango George Manyike consulted the traditional kings within his municipality before making the decision to sign the MOU with Clevenard. Following these consultations, the six traditional leaders listed below were in agreement with the Mayor's decision to proceed with the partnership. This consultation reflects the importance of engagement between municipal leadership and traditional institutions when advancing initiatives intended to create opportunities for local communities.

A PARTNERSHIP BUILT ON CONSULTATION AND COLLABORATION

The partnership builds on the Clevenard Open Project 2026 in Alicante, Spain, where Clevenard Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President, Adefaratoluwa Osindero Olutimehin, engaged with prominent South African leaders, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs and other distinguished personalities.

A key engagement was with Cllr. Masango George Manyike, Mayor of Moretele Local Municipality, whose participation helped establish a direct relationship between Moretele's municipal leadership and Clevenard's international platform.

The Alicante programme also brought Clevenard into engagement with Dr. Sello Stephen Setshedi, His Royal Highness Prince Maloka and Mrs. Khabonina Nomsa Jiyane, Founder of eKhabo – Luxury Rooted in Heritage, among other distinguished participants.

These engagements laid the foundation for the formal partnership now moving into implementation. The subsequent consultation with the traditional kings demonstrates the importance of considering the perspectives of traditional leadership before proceeding with an initiative intended to benefit the municipality and its communities.

SIX TRADITIONAL LEADERS CONSULTED BEFORE THE MOU SIGNING

Before proceeding with the MOU, Mayor Masango George Manyike consulted the traditional kings within his municipality. The six traditional leaders identified in connection with this consultation are:

According to the partnership account, the six traditional leaders agreed with the Mayor's decision to sign the MOU with Clevenard.

Their inclusion in this announcement recognises the role of traditional leadership in community identity, cultural preservation, local development and collaboration with municipal institutions. Their agreement provides important context for understanding the consultations that preceded the formalisation of the partnership.

The MOU represents a framework through which Clevenard and Moretele Local Municipality can explore opportunities that connect local priorities with international networks, while recognising the importance of engagement with the institutions and communities that form part of Moretele's social and cultural landscape.

A PARTNERSHIP FOR PRACTICAL OPPORTUNITIES

The Clevenard–Moretele partnership will focus on five interconnected areas:

1. Investment and Economic Development

Connecting Moretele with potential investors, businesses, institutions and international partners to explore opportunities that support economic development and market access.

2. SME, Youth and Women Enterprise Development

Promoting greater visibility for local businesses and entrepreneurs while exploring opportunities for young people and women to participate in enterprise development and international business networks.

3. Tourism, Culture and Heritage

Showcasing Moretele's cultural identity, traditional institutions, heritage, tourism potential and community-based initiatives to wider audiences.

4. Digital Visibility and Innovation

Using Clevenard's media and digital platforms to communicate Moretele's opportunities, initiatives, businesses and development priorities to international audiences.

5. International Partnerships and Market Access

Building connections with organisations, businesses, tourism stakeholders, cultural institutions and other strategic partners that may contribute to mutually beneficial initiatives.

Through this partnership, Clevenard will use its international networks and platforms to help connect Moretele with potential collaborators and identify opportunities that can be developed into practical projects.

The objective is not simply to establish relationships, but to create a pathway through which engagement can lead to projects, investment leads, business opportunities, tourism initiatives and measurable outcomes.

LEADERSHIP, TRADITIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND INTERNATIONAL CONFIDENCE

The role of Mayor Masango George Manyike is central to the development of this relationship. His engagement with Clevenard in Alicante helped establish a direct connection between Moretele's municipal leadership and Clevenard's international platform.

The reported consultation with the six traditional kings before the signing further highlights the importance of dialogue between municipal leadership and traditional institutions in shaping local development initiatives.

For Clevenard, the partnership is built on a principle of responsible and practical engagement. International cooperation must create credible opportunities, while implementation must remain aligned with the priorities of the Municipality and the interests of the communities it serves.

The MOU therefore provides a framework for sustained engagement rather than a one-off initiative. Its value will ultimately be measured by the quality of partnerships developed, opportunities identified and results achieved.

MORETELE INVITED TO THE 2027 CLEVEnARD OPEN PROJECT

As the relationship moves forward, Clevenard has invited Mayor Masango George Manyike and the leadership and delegation of Moretele Local Municipality to participate in the next Clevenard Open Project 2027, taking place from 22 to 25 June 2027 at the Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos, C/ México 3, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain.

For Moretele, participation in the 2027 Open Project will provide an opportunity to present the Municipality's development vision and opportunities to potential partners, investors, businesses, tourism stakeholders, institutions and international media.

Clevenard also sees the invitation as an opportunity to continue strengthening the relationship beyond the signing of the MOU, with the 2027 event serving as a further platform for international engagement and collaboration.

FROM LOCAL POTENTIAL TO INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY

Moretele has the opportunity to strengthen its international profile by connecting local potential with wider markets and professional networks.

Clevenard's role is to facilitate these connections through its international relationships, platforms and programmes, working alongside municipal leadership and relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities that are credible, relevant and capable of generating value.

The partnership also recognises the importance of local identity, traditional leadership, cultural heritage and community participation in building a development approach that connects international cooperation with local priorities.

The ambition is clear: to connect Moretele's local potential with international opportunities while creating pathways for businesses, entrepreneurs, communities, institutions and other stakeholders to participate.

With the MOU signed and the implementation phase beginning, Clevenard looks forward to working with Mayor Masango George Manyike, the leadership and officials of Moretele Local Municipality, the traditional leadership, businesses, entrepreneurs, community stakeholders and international partners to develop the next phase of the relationship.
