Clevenard South Africa (Clevenard SA) proudly hosted a high-level engagement with representatives from Vaal University of Technology (VUT) on Tuesday, 2nd April 2025. The meeting, held at the university's premises, aimed to introduce Clevenard’s global digital platform and explore opportunities for collaboration in the areas of digital media, content creation, public relations, and business development.

Chaired by: Mr. Kenny Gibe (CCIFSA & Afro-Hood Pty Ltd), the meeting was attended by 11 influential stakeholders across student affairs, innovation, entrepreneurship, and media. An apology was tendered on behalf of Bonga Columbus.

The objective was to foster academic-industry collaboration by leveraging Clevenard’s extensive media platform to empower students, nurture innovation, and drive digital transformation within South Africa's creative and academic communities.

Presentation Highlights

Betty Pheto – Clevenard SA
Betty opened the session with a compelling presentation on Clevenard’s global reach and social engagement platform. She outlined the company’s mission to support African youth through education, storytelling, and digital empowerment initiatives. Betty also introduced Clevenard’s Masterclasses — practical, skills-based training programs designed to bridge the digital divide in media, communication, and entrepreneurship.

Thakgalang Monoma – Clevenard SA
Thakgalang delivered a forward-thinking session on Media and Content Creation, introducing students to the evolving landscape of digital storytelling. He emphasized the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it is revolutionizing content creation, offering students tools to innovate and express themselves through new media formats.

Kholofelo Monama – Clevenard SA
Speaking on Business Development, Kholofelo emphasized Clevenard’s interest in developing impactful partnerships with higher education institutions. He highlighted the potential for Clevenard to support innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange within academic environments like VUT.

Pulane Moeketsane – Clevenard SA
Pulane discussed Clevenard’s Public Relations strategy and the importance of building visibility and credibility through storytelling, media relations, and community engagement. She explained how students can be involved in real-world PR campaigns and benefit from exposure to professional communication networks.

Sipho Nkosi – VUT (Student Life)
Sipho praised the presentations and acknowledged the synergy between VUT’s creative student base and Clevenard’s objectives. He expressed enthusiasm for a continued partnership and suggested a follow-up meeting with departmental heads to develop a formal framework that supports student development and aligns with VUT’s vision for digital innovation.
