A SHAM AND A FARCE TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE: A REJOINDER TO TINUBU-CHATHAM HYPHOTHESIS. By David Adenekan.

For clarity of issues and to get the record straight, it is very pertinent to puncture most of the arguments raised in the press release by Tinubu's campaign team, titled Tinubu - Chattam Hyphothesis. A clarity of issues in this instance cannot be overemphasized.
To start with, at least, Peter Obi was honest enough to tell us the rationale behind asking a professor who is thoroughly grounded in that particular field to answer the student's question. This is because, it was a technical question and it was only in one instance.
Did Tinubu tell the whole world the reason why he has to assign his duties as a presidential candidate? Par adventure, the electorates may decide if his excuse is good enough to earn their votes.
Yes, the principle of delegation of duties as claimed by Tinubu is not just suitable in this scenario. NOT AT ALL.
At least, the electorates now know that Peter Obi is not a rocket scientist and there are some area of governance that he may not be thoroughly grounded. It is now left for the voters to decide if not grounded in a particular area is good enough to earn their votes.
Yes, Peter Obi was not generally assigning duties. Please do not change the narrative.
In contrast, Tinubu was assigning duties at the Chatham house as if he has already formed a cabinet as the sitting president or a shadow cabinet as the leader of the opposition party.
Is Tinubu, as the so-called national leader of the ruling party, APC also now doubling as the leader of the opposition party to form a shadow cabinet?
Is it not true that he is the designated national leader of the ruling party, APC and President Muhammadu Buhari is the only one that has the official capacity to form a cabinet and assigned duties?
Is the official meeting at the Chatham house that was announced to the world not a complete different scenario from a more or less impromptu meeting with some group of students at the university of Uyo, Akwa Ibom?
Was asking a professor to respond to a very technical question not a singular act in this scenario and did Peter Obi not answer the other questions direcly without dilly dally or mincing words?
Again, did Peter Obi not answer all the other questions unlike Tinubu that delegated nearly all the important questions to members of his campaign team, under the guise of delegation of duties against the norms and history of Chatham House in London?
IS TINUBU CONTESTING THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN 2023 OR, HIS CAMPAIGN TEAM???
Moreover, has Tinubu not blatantly refused to engage almost all the established media houses in Nigeria, including the state run T V station, NTA in any kind of interview or debate?
Also, we the concerned citizens are looking forward to seeing at least one hour of Tinubu's debate with the other major candidates in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election or a one hour interview with any of the major media houses in the country to disabuse our minds from the fact that Tinubu may not have the mental capacity to govern more than 200 millions people of Nigeria.
In the final analysis, was one of the reasons Tinubu did not do great in the recent gal-lup or sample poll conducted by ANAP not because he is refusing to engage the other major candidates in a robust debate and also not avail himself to be interviewed by the major media houses including state run NTA in the country? Did the CEO of ANAP, Mr. Peterside not confirm this fact in his interview/gal-lup poll analysis he recently did with one of the brilliant anchors of Channel TV, Seun Okinbaloye?
In a democracy, people deserve to know more about who will be their president and get a clue of who they may cast their votes for?
Is this not a fair deal?
Hmm, this press release is a sham and a farce to change the narrative.
Time will tell.
