A leader in specialist ADHD assessment and care
Simbiat Longe is the Founder and Managing Director of Endior ADHD Assessments, a United Kingdom-based service focused on personalised ADHD assessment and treatment.
As an ADHD Nurse Consultant and Independent Nurse Prescriber, she combines specialist clinical knowledge with strategic leadership to support care tailored to each person's needs, strengths and circumstances. Her professional work includes adult ADHD assessments, referral screening, treatment planning, medication reviews, and the development and evaluation of care pathways.
Her approach recognises that effective ADHD support can involve appropriate medical treatment alongside evidence-based non-medical interventions. She is also committed to improving understanding of ADHD, particularly the experiences of women, whose symptoms and support needs may not always be recognised.
Through her specialist practice, Longe advocates for services that help people feel understood, respected and empowered while supporting informed decisions about their care.
More than two decades of nursing and mental health experience
Across 21 years of qualified nursing practice, Longe has worked in a broad range of healthcare settings, including the NHS, charitable organisations, Community Interest Companies and private practice.
Her experience encompasses community mental health, crisis resolution and home treatment, emergency psychiatric liaison, child and adolescent mental health services, acute women's mental health, older adult dementia care, substance misuse and public health.
She has supported people experiencing complex challenges, including homelessness, substance misuse and enduring mental illness. Her practice has included holistic assessment, safeguarding, harm reduction, motivational interviewing and collaborative care planning.
In senior clinical and leadership roles, she has supported staff, overseen clinical practice, coordinated care across agencies and helped young people transition from child and adolescent services into adult care.
This breadth of experience has shaped her commitment to understanding the whole person and recognising the wider circumstances that influence health and wellbeing.
Clinical leadership, palliative care and charitable service
Longe’s professional journey also includes significant work in palliative care and charitable healthcare services. Progressing from specialist end-of-life care into clinical leadership and management, she assumed responsibility for a workforce of 40 nurses.
Her management responsibilities included clinical supervision, staff development, workforce planning, service evaluation and collaboration with healthcare commissioners and multidisciplinary partners.
Within women's mental health services, she also managed a team of 26 nurses and established women's health groups, supporting service delivery and engagement around women's health needs.
Her contribution to charitable fundraising was recognised with a Fundraising Award in 2008. This recognition forms part of a career characterised by clinical service, team leadership and commitment to supporting people and communities.
Education, specialist training and professional development
Longe’s academic qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Arts in English
- Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing
- Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health and Health Promotion
- Independent prescribing qualification
She has also undertaken specialist training in ADHD assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment and psychosocial support.
Her combination of academic learning, clinical experience and professional development underpins her focus on evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and robust clinical governance.
