CLEVENARD TO HONOUR INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ALGERIAN ARTIST ZAPHIRA YACEF AT THE 2027 CLEVENARD GLOBAL AWARDS IN SPAIN

MÁLAGA, SPAIN — 22 OCTOBER 2026 — Clevenard SL is delighted to announce that internationally exhibited Algerian artist and author Zaphira Yacef has officially accepted the invitation to receive an honorary award and participate as a featured speaker at the Clevenard Open Project – 6th Edition and Clevenard Global Awards – 4th Edition, taking place from 22 to 25 June 2027 at the Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos in Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain.

The recognition will celebrate Yacef’s distinguished artistic career, her contributions to cultural understanding, and her longstanding commitment to promoting world peace, tolerance, women’s empowerment and humanitarian awareness through art.

Zaphira Yacef is scheduled to speak on Thursday, 24 June 2027 (Day 3), as part of the Global Tourism & International Film Celebration. Her participation will highlight the role of artistic expression in preserving cultural heritage, sharing human experiences and building connections across nations and communities.

Her honorary award presentation is planned as part of the Clevenard Global Awards ceremony on Friday, 25 June 2027 (Day 4).

Celebrating an Artist Whose Work Transcends Borders

Born in Algiers, Algeria, Zaphira Yacef is a painter and author whose artistic journey began in 1994. Holding a graduate degree in architectural design, she has developed a distinctive creative practice that combines visual storytelling, spiritual reflection and humanitarian themes.

Her work has been exhibited internationally in Algeria, Canada, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Iran. Drawing inspiration from Islamic art and the Qur’an, she seeks to communicate the beauty and spiritual richness of Islam while encouraging tolerance, mutual respect and understanding between cultures.

Over the years, her artistic expression has expanded to explore the experiences of African communities, the resilience of women, the consequences of conflict and the importance of peaceful coexistence.

Why Clevenard Is Honouring Zaphira Yacef

The honorary award recognises Zaphira Yacef’s artistic achievements and her commitment to using creativity as a platform for peace, cultural dialogue and humanitarian awareness.

Her contributions are particularly reflected in three important areas:

1. Art as a bridge between cultures and faiths

Through her exploration of Islamic art and spirituality, Yacef seeks to promote greater understanding of Islam and encourage dialogue across cultural and religious boundaries. Her work demonstrates how art can communicate shared human values and foster mutual respect.

2. Advocacy for women and vulnerable communities

Through Mother Africa, her book and accompanying series of paintings, Yacef draws attention to the struggles, resilience and triumphs of African people, particularly women and children affected by conflict and hardship. Her work highlights the importance of women in shaping Africa’s future and encourages greater awareness of humanitarian challenges.

3. Contributions to peace, tolerance and humanitarian awareness

Yacef has consistently advocated for disadvantaged people, world peace and tolerance. Her belief that art can encourage meaningful dialogue is reflected throughout her career. In 2012, she received a special award at the French Senate from the Association of France-Euro-Mediterranean in recognition of her artistic contributions to world peace and feminism.

Through this honorary distinction, Clevenard seeks to celebrate her achievements as an artist and author whose work connects creativity with social responsibility, cultural understanding and the promotion of human dignity.

From Mother Africa to the Beauty of Islamic Art

Among Yacef’s significant projects is Mother Africa, which explores the realities of life across the African continent through expressive imagery portraying struggle, survival and triumph. The project emphasises the role of women as guardians of children and as influential participants in shaping their communities and societies.

In 2011, she published The Seed of Love and the Ninety-Nine Beautiful Names of God, a collection of 99 paintings inspired by the 99 Beautiful Names of God in Islam. Through this project, she sought to express the peace and beauty of Islam from a woman’s perspective.

In 2018, she also created an exhibition inspired by the Silk Road, using spices and their colours to explore the historic connections between cultures and trading communities from China to Italy, through Samarkand.

Together, these projects reflect an artistic vision that brings spirituality, history, cultural identity and humanitarian concerns into a shared creative space.

Day 3 Featured Speaker: Art, Culture and Human Connection

On Thursday, 24 June 2027, Zaphira Yacef is scheduled to participate as a featured speaker during the Global Tourism & International Film Celebration.

Her participation will provide an opportunity to explore how art and cultural storytelling can preserve heritage, strengthen intercultural understanding and communicate the experiences of communities across the world.

Drawing on her international exhibitions, published works and humanitarian interests, Yacef will bring an artistic perspective to the wider event programme, demonstrating how creativity can inspire reflection, encourage dialogue and connect people beyond geographical and cultural boundaries.

Her speaking engagement will complement the Clevenard Open Project’s commitment to celebrating international creativity and recognising individuals whose work contributes to cultural exchange and positive social change.

Clevenard Open Project 2027: A Global Celebration

Celebrating Creativity with a Purpose

Zaphira Yacef’s acceptance of the award and speaking invitation marks an important part of the Clevenard Open Project 2027 programme.

Her career illustrates the potential of art to do more than inspire aesthetic appreciation: it can raise awareness, preserve cultural heritage, give visibility to humanitarian concerns and encourage dialogue between people of different backgrounds.

By recognising Yacef, Clevenard celebrates an artist whose creative work and advocacy reflect the importance of peace, tolerance, women’s empowerment and human connection.

Clevenard SL looks forward to welcoming Zaphira Yacef and international participants to Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain, in June 2027 for a gathering dedicated to creativity, cultural exchange and the celebration of people whose contributions help connect the world.
