Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that His Royal Highness King Kebeinatshwene Abel Mosielele will be formally honoured with a prestigious Honorary International Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026, scheduled to take place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

This distinguished recognition celebrates His Royal Highness’s lifelong dedication to public service, environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and community development across multiple sectors, spanning agriculture, government, and leadership.

The honorary award will be officially conferred on Day 4 — Sunday, 30 August 2026, during the Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition, the flagship ceremony of the Clevenard Open Project. The event will also feature the International Fashion Runway, bringing together global leaders, dignitaries, creatives, investors, and cultural icons from Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond.

This year’s ceremony honours exceptional individuals whose leadership and influence transcend borders, generations, and institutions, contributing meaningfully to global development and human progress.

Keynote Address – Day 2 (28 August 2026)

In addition to receiving this prestigious honour, His Royal Highness King Kebeinatshwene Abel Mosielele will deliver a keynote address on Day 2 of the forum, under the theme:

“Sustainable Land Stewardship, Cultural Heritage, and Community-Led Development for Africa’s Future”

In this address, His Royal Highness will share insights drawn from decades of experience in environmental management, local governance, and traditional leadership.

Professional Profile

His Royal Highness King Kebeinatshwene Abel Mosielele is an accomplished ecologist, public servant, and traditional leader with a distinguished career spanning environmental conservation, civil service, aviation, and community leadership.

He began his career with the Ministry of Agriculture (1975–1977) as an Assistant Range Ecologist, conducting field surveys in southern Botswana and contributing to national range management policy development.

From 1977 to 1982, he served in the Botswana Defence Force as a 2nd Lieutenant Pilot, demonstrating discipline and leadership in military aviation.

He later joined the Gaborone City Council (1983–1999) as a Parks Officer, rising to Parks Department Manager, where he oversaw the development and maintenance of public open spaces, road verges, and plant nurseries across Gaborone.

Between 2001 and 2006, he served as Managing Director of Cityscapes (Pty) Ltd, leading the design and implementation of a master plan for a major leisure park project at Gaborone Dam.

From 2007 to 2010, he worked as Soft Services Manager at Drake and Scull (Pty) Ltd, managing facilities services for major corporate institutions, including commercial banks.

In March 2010, he was appointed as a Senior Chief’s Representative under the Ministry of Local Government, a role he continues to hold. In this capacity, he serves as a vital link between government and the community, with responsibilities including:

  • Custodianship of culture and customs
  • Development of his jurisdiction
  • Dispute resolution within the morafe (community)
  • Promotion of community welfare
  • Strengthening government–community relations

Education and Training

His Royal Highness has pursued studies in agriculture, aviation, recreation, and landscape architecture, including:

  • Diploma in Agriculture – University of Botswana and Swaziland (1972–1974)
  • BDF Training School / Flying School, Southampton, UK (1978–1979)
  • Certificate in Recreation and Leisure – Reading University, England (1980–1989)
  • BA Landscape Architecture – Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK (1992–1995, not completed)
