Clevenard to Honour Rebecca Quartey-Papafio at the Clevenard Open Project 2026 and Global Awards in Alicante, Spain

Palma de Mallorca, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that Rebecca Quartey-Papafio will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026 (5th Edition) and the Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

The honorary recognition will be formally presented on Day 4 (Sunday, 30 August 2026) during the Clevenard Global Awards Ceremony, the flagship event of the programme, held alongside the International Fashion Runway. The ceremony celebrates outstanding global leaders whose work continues to shape industries, strengthen institutions, and inspire sustainable progress across borders.

In addition to this honour, Rebecca Quartey-Papafio will also serve as a Keynote Speaker on Day 2 (28 August 2026) at the Global Economy, Trade, Solid Minerals, Agriculture & Investment Summit.

As Vice President for Government Affairs and Industry Relations at De Beers Group in Botswana, Rebecca Quartey-Papafio leads high-level engagement with governments, industry stakeholders, and development partners to create enabling environments for investment, innovation, and long-term economic value creation.

With over 20 years of experience spanning the diamond industry, international development, public affairs, and technology, she is widely recognised for her ability to build trusted partnerships and translate strategic relationships into measurable impact.

Throughout her career, she has conceptualised and led major enterprise development initiatives across Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, and the United States. Her leadership has contributed to flagship programmes such as Stanford Seed, Tokafala, Go-To-Market initiatives, and the Shining Lights Awards, all designed to strengthen entrepreneurship and accelerate private-sector growth across Africa.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, her stakeholder engagement efforts played a key role in facilitating the delivery of more than half a million vaccine doses to Botswana—demonstrating the power of cross-sector collaboration in addressing national and global challenges.

Rebecca’s professional philosophy is anchored in the belief that Africa’s greatest asset is its people. She continues to champion relationship-driven development models that unlock opportunity, strengthen ecosystems, and foster inclusive economic transformation across the continent.

She currently serves on several high-level boards and committees, including the Executive Committee of De Beers Global Sightholder Sales, the Board of the American Business Council Botswana, the International Advisory Board of the Jewellery Coalition, and Botswana’s National Development Plan 12 Mining Sector Steering Committee.

She holds a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby (UK), an Executive Leadership Development qualification from Stellenbosch Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology from the University of Botswana.
