Alain St.Ange Honoured at ITB 2026 in Berlin, Germany with Prestigious “PATWA Gold Award - Tourism Legacy”

The Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA), an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), announced at ITB 2026 in Berlin, Germany, that Alain St.Ange has been selected as the recipient of the esteemed “PATWA Gold Award - Tourism Legacy” for 2026. This prestigious accolade recognises his outstanding contributions and enduring impact on the global tourism industry.

The PATWA International Travel Awards are among the most coveted recognitions in the travel and tourism sector, celebrating excellence across governments, brands, individuals, and organisations that have significantly advanced the promotion of tourism. The awards span various sectors, including aviation, hospitality, travel agencies, tour operators, and government bodies, among others.

Alain St.Ange’s selection for the “PATWA Gold Award - Tourism Legacy” underscores his exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to fostering sustainable tourism development and innovation. The award was to be presented to Alain St.Ange during the 26th edition of the PATWA World Tourism Leaders Summit and International Travel Awards, held at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show, in March 2026. However, due to the ongoing Iran-US/Israel military conflict, Alain St.Ange was unable to travel to Berlin to accept the award in person. Despite his absence, his remarkable contributions to the tourism industry were celebrated during the event, with attendees acknowledging his enduring legacy and impact on global tourism.
