A transformative force in leadership and personal development, Dr. Gamede is an award-winning African thought leader, podcaster, published author, and influential academic whose work has impacted over 100,000 people across Africa since 2011. He brings over a decade of excellence rooted in an exceptional academic foundation spanning Cultural and Media Studies, Media & Management, and Leadership and Management.

A prolific author and strategist, he has written eight books—five published—alongside training manuals and online programmes that have equipped more than 10,000 learners with essential success tools. As an Employability Practitioner, he has trained over 20,000 youth, enhanced more than 500 CVs, and achieved an impressive 80% employability success rate since 2019.

Through Make a Mark Africa Youth Development (NPO), Dr. Gamede leads impactful mentorship programmes—such as the Free Mentorship at the Park Programme and the Brood and Grow Mentorship Programme—which have transformed the lives of over 15,000 young people across South Africa, Kenya, eSwatini, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.

His media footprint spans television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and digital platforms, reaching over 10 million people since 2014. As a respected public speaker, he has addressed more than 100 major events, touching audiences exceeding 250,000 people.

His research interests include Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Research Methodology, and Media-Audience Relations. He is currently leading a groundbreaking regional study on Communicating Climate Change for Young People in the SADC region.

Dr. Gamede’s remarkable academic journey—from repeating Grades 10 to 12 to earning two doctoral degrees—fuels his passion for youth empowerment and educational equity. His life stands as a testament to his mantra: #ItsPossibleBecauseItsDoable.
