About Love Gcin-Gcin (Gcinashe Gcanga)

Gcinashe Gcanga, writing as Love Gcin-Gcin, is a South African author, transformational coach, and governance practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of self-love, ethical leadership, and social healing. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Losinda Wellness Solutions, a women-led enterprise based in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, through which she advances holistic well-being, ethical leadership, and institutional renewal.

With over 25 years of experience across public service, executive governance, and consulting, Gcanga has served in senior leadership and advisory roles within South Africa’s public sector, including as Chief Director in national government and as executive support to Directors-General across multiple departments. Her professional career includes stewardship of complex, high-profile initiatives such as UNFCCC COP17 and CITES COP17, as well as organisational turnaround and governance restoration processes.

This grounding in accountability, power, and institutional life profoundly shapes her writing voice. Her literary work emerges from a deeply personal journey of healing, faith, and restoration, most fully expressed in her book Self-Love: A 100-Day Life-Transforming Journey. The book is supported by the Self-Love Journals and Self-Love Cards, tools designed to translate inner work into lived, everyday practice.

At the core of her work is a conviction that self-love is not indulgence, but a foundational discipline for ethical living, resilient leadership, and social transformation. Drawing on psychology, lived experience, and Christian spiritual wisdom, she frames self-love as a moral and relational practice rooted in the biblical ethic to love God wholeheartedly and to love one’s neighbour as oneself (Matthew 22:37–39).

Beyond wellness and publishing, Love Gcin-Gcin is an active advocate for social justice, peace-building, and collective healing, particularly among African women and leaders navigating histories of trauma, exclusion, and over-performance. Through her writing, speaking, and facilitation, she creates spaces where personal restoration and societal change are understood not as separate pursuits, but as mutually reinforcing acts.
