BIOGRAPHY: Ms. MARGARET MILLICENT SKOSANA

Margaret Millicent Skosana, 44, is the Director General in the Office of the Premier, Mpumalanga Province. Appointed on 1 March 2025, she provides executive leadership in implementing the province’s strategic priorities under the 2025–2030 Medium-Term Development Plan, with a strong focus on:

• Inclusive growth & job creation
• Poverty reduction & lowering the cost of living
• Building a capable, ethical, developmental state

Previously, she served 11 years as Municipal Manager of Nkangala District Municipality, one of South Africa’s most successful and administratively stable municipalities.

• Provided leadership that resulted in nine consecutive Clean Audit outcomes recognized by the Auditor-General of South Africa
