She began her diplomatic career in 1983, rapidly rising through the ranks of the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she led critical divisions covering Latin America, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe, while playing a key role in Angola’s engagement with the Organization of African Unity (OAU).

Her overseas postings underscore her global expertise and leadership:

• Second Secretary, Angolan Embassy, Harare, Zimbabwe
• Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary to Zambia (2012–2019)
• First Angolan Woman Ambassador to Germany (2019), concurrently serving as non-resident Ambassador to the Czech Republic
• Ambassador to Spain (2025–present), the first woman to hold this post since Angola and Spain established diplomatic relations in 1987
