Adebukola Salau Nominated for the Clevenard Media Award 2025

Category: Women in Tech, Empowerment & Community Impact

Palma de Mallorca, Spain — For the first time, the vibrant Mediterranean city of Palma de Mallorca will host the Clevenard Media Award 2025, a global platform spotlighting excellence in entertainment, entrepreneurship, fashion, innovation, and community empowerment.

This landmark event, taking place on Friday, November 21, 2025, will bring together global visionaries, creatives, public servants, and changemakers to celebrate those making bold strides to uplift their communities and industries through leadership and purpose.

Among this year’s remarkable nominees is Adebukola Salau, an inspiring woman in tech, domestic violence survivor, and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. Fondly known as Arewàh, she is the founder and CEO of Her Connect Hub and Women For More International.

A Champion for Black and Ethnically Diverse Women in Business

Adebukola founded Her Connect Hub in 2017 as a simple WhatsApp group to connect and support black and ethnically diverse women-led businesses. Since then, the platform has grown into the UK’s largest networking and visibility movement for women of colour in enterprise, hosting over 22 exhibitions with more than 2,000 businesses supported across the UK, US, Canada, and Africa.

Her Connect Hub has delivered powerful events in cities such as London, Essex, Kent, and Birmingham, including business exhibitions, brunches, galas, and webinars — all aimed at creating community, visibility, and opportunity. In 2024, Her Connect Hub launched another successful edition in Essex and is now preparing for its biggest exhibitions yet at O2 Guildhall, Southampton, and Birmingham.

Beyond Business: Building Equity and Impact

Adebukola’s work is rooted in closing the equity gap for women of colour. Despite the immense talent and resilience of Black women entrepreneurs, they remain grossly underfunded — receiving just 0.02% of venture capital funding in the UK over the past decade. Her Connect Hub is changing that narrative by advocating for visibility, access, and lasting impact.

Through strategic partnerships with major corporations like ATOS and VMware, and recognition from platforms such as Women4Africa, The Voice Newspaper, and the East London Business Expo, Adebukola continues to rise as a leader in diversity and inclusion. She was named a finalist for Business Woman of the Year and Woman in Diversity & Inclusion at the Women4Africa Awards and featured on their prestigious 2023 Gold List.

A Platform for Change

More than just a business network, Her Connect Hub is a movement. It empowers women, supports domestic violence survivors, champions inclusive entrepreneurship, and fosters the next generation of women leaders through mentorship and advocacy.

As Adebukola says, “When women support each other, incredible things happen.” Her journey is living proof.
