REFLECTING ON THE PCRC LAGOS, TELEPHONE BOX PROJECT.

History was again, made recently in the police circle, as the PCRC Lagos, under the leadership of Apostle Kehinde Sowemimo, visualised the need to enhance communication across all police formations in Lagos state, by acquiring quality telephone boxes in their numbers, which was commissioned during the just concluded 40th anniversary of PCRC in Nigeria, and handed over to the commissioner of police, Lagos state *CP, ADEGOKE FAYOADE,,who joyfully received them and in no distant time, distributed same to all police formations in Lagos,

Interestingly, reports rolling in from different police quarters in Lagos, is that, the telephone boxes are not only working perfectly, but also, helping to ease the communication challenges the communities and the police were facing before now,

Being the first of its kind in PCRC activities in Nigeria, the major objective of the PCRC Lagos telephone box project is to ensure that each police establishment in Lagos can easily be reached and accessed without hindrance or delay, through the specific numbers allocated to them, thereby enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of communication between the Communities and the police.

Accordingly, area command and divisional chairmen and their executives are enjoined to partner with the police to ensure the sustainability of these telephone boxes.
