Uganda Tourism Minister Tom R. Butime and Uganda Tourism Board CEO Lily Ajarova recently met with Alain St.Ange, the Tourism Consultant from Seychelles and President of the African Tourism Board, at the "Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo" (POATE) in Uganda.
POATE is regarded as East Africa's premier tourism event. Alain St.Ange, the former Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, and current President of the African Tourism Board, attended the event at the invitation of Minister Tom R. Butime, Uganda's Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.
Joining St.Ange in Uganda were Cuthbert Ncube, the Executive Chairman of the African Tourism Board, and other members of the continent's tourism boards delegation, who traveled to Uganda for this significant tourism event.
Currently heading his consultancy firm, "Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy," St.Ange works with tourism boards and ministries across Africa and the ASEAN bloc. In Uganda, he aims to discuss cooperation opportunities, reimagining tourism as a vital economic sector, and enhancing the visibility of tourism destinations to stay competitive in major tourism source markets.
With extensive experience in the tourism industry, Alain St.Ange remains eager to share his expertise to benefit the African continent.
