UK awards Alain St.Ange the 'Nelson Mandela Leadership Award'

The Lord Mayor of Oxford, Cllr Lubna Arshad, bestowed upon Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles the esteemed 'Nelson Mandela Leadership Award' during an NRI Ceremony at Oxford University in the UK on Friday, May 10th, 2024.

In the illustrious company of NRI Members, the event unfolded at the 'Said Business School' of Oxford University, where Alain St.Ange delivered a stirring address characterized by his signature heartfelt and impromptu style.

The date of the Oxford University Award Ceremony, May 10th, holds special significance, marking the historic occasion when Nelson Mandela, beneath the British colonial architecture of Pretoria's Union Building, took the oath to serve as South Africa's first black president in 1994, after enduring 27 years of imprisonment.

Kicking off the Awards Ceremony, Deepak Singh of the NRI initiated proceedings before inviting Alain St.Ange, the Chief Guest, to grace the audience with his speech, followed by other notable speakers, including Camila Pinzon, Miss World Colombia.
