SOWETO SPIRITUAL SINGERS
Soweto Spiritual Singers have once again solidified their position as one of South Africa's premier choirs. With a rich history of international collaborations, including a notable performance alongside R. Kelly at the official 2010 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in South Africa, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
Their latest collaboration sees them joining forces with American Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter PJ Morton, known for his work with Maroon 5, in a powerful anthem for unity titled "Simunye." Founded by siblings Nkululeko Vilakazi and the renowned South African gospel singer Vicky Vilakazi, the group's commitment to spreading messages of harmony and togetherness shines through in their music.
Since 2019, Soweto Spiritual Singers have embarked on extensive tours across the European Union and the United Kingdom, showcasing their extraordinary talent and cultural richness. They've graced prestigious stages, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, leaving audiences spellbound with their soul-stirring performances.
