Nigeria's Federal Government Promises Access to Justice

The concept of access to justice refers to the ability of individuals to seek and obtain a remedy through the legal system. The legal system is a fundamental institution responsible for interpreting laws, resolving disputes and upholding justice.

The justice sector of any nation is an enabler of the economy upon which other sectors rest for an improved society. Due to its importance to the overall development of the nation, citizens including legal minds have been clamoring for a holistic reform of Nigeria’s justice sector.

To this end, a national summit on justice has been scheduled to hold later in April 2024.
The summit intends to address the challenges plaguing the justice sector and pave way for reforms aimed at making justice more accessible for Nigerians.
