Edo Tourism Boss Congratulate Benin Monarch On Igue
The Edo State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Uyi Oduwa Malaka and Staff have congratulated His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare the second for his successful outing as he presides over Igue festival.
Uyi Malaka in a statement issued by the Ministry’s Media and Publicity Unit, praised Oba Ewuare the Second for his spirited efforts at preserving the culture and traditions of Edo people particularly for ensuring peace in Benin Kingdom.
According to the Arts, Culture and Tourism Commissioner, in just seven years of His Majesty’s reign, *Oba Ewuare the second* has ushered in sustained peace in Benin Kingdom, as a motivator, stabilizer and unifier.
Uyi Malaka said going down memory lane, Igue remained a significant cultural heritage of over 100 years celebrated by the Benins and felicitated with Edo people for preserving their treasured heritage.
Describing the royal father as an accomplished man of peace, whose enviable footprints in public service as a diplomat, corporate space and traditional institution are worthy of mentioning, Uyi Malaka and staff of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism rejoiced with His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare the second and the Benin Nation wishing them a happy celebration of more blessings, peace and development not only in Benin Kingdom but across Edo State and Nigeria in general
