As the Executive Chairman of the African Tourism Board, I am delighted to express my support for the Intra-Africa pop-up Trade Fair Inaugural, which focuses on "Woman leading on the Trade initiatives" under the maim theme of promoting and unlocking trade opportunities in Africa and beyond through travel.
This initiative is crucial in unlocking the potential of African tourism and promoting economic growth in the continent. The travel and tourism industry is an essential driver of economic growth, creating job opportunities, generating revenue, and fostering cultural exchange.

However, the global COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the tourism industry, creating an urgent need for innovation and partnerships in the sector to promote the continent's recovery. The Intra-Africa pop-up Trade Fair Inaugural is one such initiative that seeks to promote intra-African travel and tourism, thereby advancing the continent's economic agenda.

We recognize that women play an essential role in promoting trade and development, and their inclusion is critical to achieving a sustainable and prosperous Africa.
