My Journey in the Media Business
In the earlier days of Clevenard Farm Foods Limited, our primary focus was on exporting farm produce from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. However, we encountered a significant challenge in finding customers for our imported farm products, including Clevenard Ofada Rice, Beans, Moringa, among others.

Exploring various marketing channels, we recognized the potential of social media in expanding our reach, but found the conventional strategies lacking in sustainability and return on investment (ROI). Through extensive research into the behaviors and purchasing patterns of our target market, we realized the importance of tailored approaches for African consumers, distinct from Western social platforms' norms.

As the demand to understand and access African markets grows, Clevenard's services and marketers offer a seamless gateway, facilitating businesses' entry into Africa and connecting with the African diaspora.

My Story

Over a decade ago, I delved into the importation business from Nigeria to Europe, particularly the United Kingdom. Initially, I struggled to market my products, resorting to personally approaching numerous African small and large food shops in London.

Facing rejection and even resorting to offering products on credit, only to suffer losses, prompted me to reevaluate my approach. I realized:

1. The challenge of selling African products abroad and experiencing financial setbacks was not unique to me but a widespread issue among Africans in the diaspora.

2. African communities globally heavily rely on social media for communication, information sharing, and expression.

3. Despite the diaspora's dispersed nature, there was a glaring absence of dedicated business or marketing platforms catering to African interests.

4. This lack of representation and platforms disadvantaged us in accessing opportunities and amplifying our voices in the diaspora.

Motivated by these insights, I envisioned Clevenard Marketing and a social platform as solutions to empower companies operating in Africa and the diaspora, fostering cross-sectoral growth and prosperity.

In conclusion, Clevenard stands as a beacon for bridging business and networking divides, offering a comprehensive platform for clients to access premier business services both locally and in the diaspora.

Embracing the Future

In light of Africa's exponential internet growth, surpassing global averages significantly, it is imperative that we, as Africans, build our platforms for robust business networking and development.

I, Adefaratoluwa Osindero Olutimehin, remain committed to closing the gap in business and networking, ushering in a new era of prosperity for Africa and its diaspora.

Thank you.
