About Makinde Adeniran, FTA

Makinde Adeniran, FTA, is a distinguished Nigerian theatre practitioner, creative director, playwright, broadcaster, and cultural advocate with over three decades of professional experience in theatre, film, television, and cultural development. He is the Founder and Executive Director of MA Productions, a creative platform dedicated to theatre production, festival design, film and cinematography training, and capacity development for emerging creative professionals.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where he specialized in theatre directing. Over the years, he has built a distinguished career directing, producing, and writing major stage productions and cultural initiatives that promote African storytelling and artistic excellence.

He currently serves as President of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP), the foremost professional body representing theatre practitioners in Nigeria, where he champions policy advocacy, industry development, and the strengthening of the creative arts ecosystem.
