Stop 'The Tacit Approval For The Killings' Of Our Children In The Battle Field Against Boko Haram And Bandits. By David Adenekan.

To start with, Nigeria soldiers are now the victims of "starvation is the weapon of war". What a national embarrassment and tragic situation!

Alas, the online video clip that is trending in the news, of Nigeria soldiers dying of acute hunger in the battle field is a contradiction of the story of victory against terrorist groups, Boko Haram, ISWAP and Bandits.

Sadly, the questions we need to ask in this tragic scenario, are as follows:

One: Who is truly the enemy of the people of Nigeria? Our children in Nigeria army are deployed to rescue some of the villages in the north east, from the hands of Boko Haram Insurgents and they carried out the operation, successfully. Tragically, and in a jiffy, the euphoria of their victory against the Boko Haram group and bandits all dissapeared because, they are being starved to death.

How can a soldier fight under starvation, in a battle field without food? Where is the strength to operate all the sophisticated weapons when their stomachs are emptied and they are dehydrated, for lack of water? When there is no provision to cater for the feeding of our soldiers in the battle field against the Boko Haram elements and the bandits, one may be forced to say Buhari and his cabal are the real enemies of the people of Nigeria. There is no logic to explain this tragic condition of our soldiers in the battle field.

Two: Where are all the billions of naira appropriated and budgeted every year to fight the war against Boko Haram and bandits? Is the money not meant to take care of the welfare of our soldiers and boost their morale and make them physically, psychologically and emotionally fit to perform their duties? Where is the effect of billions of naira budgeted every year, against Boko Haram in the lives of our soldiers on the battle field?

Hmmmm! Is this not another face of corruption in the Ministry of Defence?

Is this not a failed government?

Three: Is Boko Haram the real enemy of the Nigeria people or, President Muhammadu Buhai, who also personifies as the Grand Patron of Myetti Allah and overtly and covertly, support their dangerous activities?

Four: Is Myetti Allah not a parental organization for all fulani herdsmen in Nigeria? Are they not a terrorist group? Will one not be forced to say that Buhari and his cabal are deliberately setting up our children in the battle field against the Boko Haram insurgency group and bandits, for failure so that their allies; Boko Haram and bandits can gain the upper hand? If not, what will be the rationale behind not providing food and water for our soldiers on the battle field, and leaving them behind to die of hunger?

Is this not insane?

Five: Under former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, the Nigeria army launched a military strike against the Boko Haram insurgents in the North East, in order to push them back and recover some of the villages they had violently captured but, did General Muhammadu Buhari (as prefixed by Punch Newspapers) not cry out and said "they are killing my people"?

The fundamental question is, where does the interest lies of Mr. President, General Muhammadu Buhari, in the war against terrorist groups in Nigeria?

Six: Is the power of the Nigeria army to defend our lands and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of our country, not under attack by the power of hunger? Who can fight hunger on a battle field without food?

Seven: Is the acute hunger in the land not partly because our farmers are being dislodged from their farmlands by the Fulani terrorists, and the famine in the land has now extended to our soldiers on the battle field?

Hmmm!! If the Nigerian soldiers are dying of serious hunger on the battlefield, who will save this country from the impending peril in the hands of bandits, terrorists groups such as the Boko Haram sect, ISWAP, Kidnappers, Armed Robbers and Rapists?

Lastly, do we still have a country under President Muhammadu Buhari, when the only institution; the Nigeria army that will unite the whole country together against any internal strife is not only disenchanted but that the soldiers are dying of acute hunger on the battle field?

Also, is this not tantamount to "Starvation Is The Weapon Of War" against our children on the battlefield who are fighting to secure our indegenous land from the hands of Boko Haram and ISWAP?

Moreover, is this not a strong indication that there is serious hunger all over the land and that Nigeria soldiers in the battle field are not exempted, as demonstrated in the online video clip that is trending in the news?

How did we get here???

Suffice it to say, do we really have a country, when our soldiers are disenchanted and dying of hunger due to lack of food and water in the battle field???

In summary, where is President Muhammadu Buhari in the midst of the serious hunger crisis in the land where our children, in the battle field against Boko Haram and bandit are dying of hunger due to lack of foods and water???

Is Nigeria not already a failed country?

ONLY TIME WILL TELL!
