Moroni, Comoros — The Union of the Comoros has appointed experienced regional development specialist Faouzia Vitry as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV-SAS-2027), the entity established to oversee one of the country's most ambitious infrastructure projects ahead of the 2027 Indian Ocean Island Games (JIOI).

Faouzia Vitry leaves behind an accomplished political and public service career in Réunion Island to take on this strategic assignment in the Comoros. The project is expected to deliver approximately 200 modern villas, creating a lasting housing legacy while contributing to urban development and economic growth in the Comoros.

Rather than viewing the Athletes' Village as a temporary sporting facility, Vitry sees it as a catalyst for broader national development.
