Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that Mandla Justice Lukhele, an esteemed Senior Traditional Leader, educator, entrepreneur, community development advocate, and transformational leader from South Africa, will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Global Leadership Award during the Clevenard Open Project 2026 – 5th Edition, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos Alicante, Spain.
The distinguished recognition will be formally presented on Day 4 – Sunday, 30 August 2026, during the Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition, the flagship awards ceremony of the Clevenard Open Project, held alongside the International Fashion Runway. The ceremony celebrates exceptional global leaders whose influence transcends borders and whose contributions continue to shape communities, industries, and nations.
In addition to receiving this prestigious international honour, Mandla Justice Lukhele will serve as a Keynote Speaker on Day 1 (27 August 2026) during the Global Authors’ Recognition & Education Summit, where he will deliver a keynote address on:

Few leaders embody the principles of service, empowerment, and transformational leadership as comprehensively as Mandla Justice Lukhele. Throughout his distinguished career, he has dedicated himself to advancing education, economic inclusion, entrepreneurship, community development, and traditional governance.
An accomplished academic, Lukhele began his educational journey in Mbombela, completing his Matric at Mjokwane Secondary School before pursuing higher education with exceptional determination. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UNISA, followed by qualifications in Adult Basic Education and Training, Higher Education, and Programme and Project Management, building a strong foundation for a lifetime of leadership and service.
His commitment to education first emerged through his work as a Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science educator, where he inspired and prepared young people for future success. The classroom became the first platform where his passion for leadership and community transformation was clearly demonstrated.
Champion of Economic Inclusion and Entrepreneurship
In 2000, Lukhele assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Siyakhula Micro Business Finance, where he played a pivotal role in expanding financial access for underserved communities. Under his visionary leadership, the institution received the Best Micro Finance Institution in South Africa Award from the Department of Trade and Industry in 2003, a recognition that underscored his commitment to economic empowerment and financial inclusion.
The same year, he was appointed Chairperson of the Association of Micro Finance of South Africa, further solidifying his influence within the country's economic development landscape.
As an entrepreneur, Lukhele founded and led Vuna Signs Solutions, building the company into a respected enterprise that earned the Ehlanzeni Best Entrepreneur Award in 2008. His business success demonstrated that sustainable economic growth can be achieved while creating opportunities and employment within local communities.
His leadership has also extended into the trucking and agricultural sectors, where he has contributed significantly to industry development and economic growth. As Chairperson of the Ehlanzeni Truckers Association, he championed the interests of transport operators while promoting collaboration and industry advancement.
A Continental Perspective
Lukhele's extensive travels throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Asia have broadened his understanding of economic development, leadership, and community-building. His exposure to diverse cultures and development models has strengthened his ability to bridge traditional values with modern innovation.
A multilingual leader, he speaks seven languages—English, Siswati, xiTsonga, isiZulu, Sotho, Xhosa, and isiNdebele—allowing him to engage effectively with diverse communities and foster meaningful dialogue across cultural boundaries.
Custodian of Culture and Community
In 2022, Mandla Justice Lukhele was formally appointed Senior Traditional Leader of the Siligane Traditional Community, serving the communities of Siligane and Mvangatini within the Lukhele villages.
His appointment recognized decades of dedicated service and affirmed his role as a custodian of cultural heritage, community development, conflict resolution, and social cohesion. As a Senior Traditional Leader, he continues to guide and inspire his people while helping bridge traditional governance structures with contemporary development opportunities.
