Clevenard to Honour Patrick Oyet at the 2026 Clevenard Open Project 5th Edition and Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition in Alicante, Spain

Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL proudly announces that Patrick Oyet, Founder & CEO of Juba Echo TV, Journalist, Media Entrepreneur, and Constitutional Affairs Leader, will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

The honorary recognition will be formally presented on Day 4 — Sunday, 30 August 2026 — during the Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition 2026, the flagship awards ceremony of the Clevenard Open Project 2026, held alongside the International Fashion Runway. The ceremony celebrates exceptional global leaders whose influence transcends borders, institutions, and generations.

In addition to receiving the honorary distinction, Patrick Oyet will deliver a keynote address during the forum on Day 3 (29 August 2026), under the Global Tourism & International Film Celebration.

Patrick Oyet is a distinguished South Sudanese journalist, media entrepreneur, and civic leader, widely recognized for his impactful contributions to journalism, constitutional development, and media innovation in South Sudan.

Born in 1981, he holds a Diploma in News Journalism from the London School of Journalism, a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Juba. This strong academic foundation positions him at the forefront of both media and governance.

He has built an impressive international journalism career, working with Feature Story News and contributing to major global outlets including SABC, CBC, SBS, WION, CAN, and CGTN. His reporting has amplified African voices internationally, bringing critical attention to political, social, and developmental issues shaping South Sudan and the wider region.

Patrick currently serves as the President of the Union of Journalists of South Sudan (UJOSS), where he champions press freedom, journalist safety, and ethical reporting. He plays a vital national role as Chairperson for Civic Education and Public Consultations at South Sudan’s National Constitutional Review Commission, actively promoting citizen engagement in the country’s democratic and constitutional processes.

He is also the Founder of Juba Echo TV, one of South Sudan’s pioneering private television platforms, contributing significantly to media diversity and independent broadcasting. Beyond media, he maintains active business interests in finance, real estate, and travel and tourism.

Through his leadership, Patrick Oyet continues to influence the future of journalism and governance in South Sudan, promoting transparency, civic participation, and sustainable development. He stands as a powerful voice for media excellence and a key driver of national transformation.
