Clevenard to Honour Internationally Acclaimed Fashion Designer Lilly Alfonso at the 2026 Clevenard Open Project in Alicante, Spain

Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that Lilly Alfonso, the internationally acclaimed Malawian fashion designer, creative director, and founder of the Lilly Alfonso Fashion Brand, will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026 – 5th Edition, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

The honorary recognition will be formally presented on Day 4 — Sunday, 30 August 2026 during the Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition, the flagship awards ceremony of the forum, held alongside the International Fashion Runway. This ceremony celebrates exceptional global leaders whose influence transcends borders, institutions, and generations.

In addition to receiving the honorary distinction, Lilly Alfonso will deliver a keynote address on Day 3 — Friday, 29 August 2026, during the Global Tourism & International Film Celebration, under the theme:

Keynote Topic: Elevating African Fashion on the Global Stage: Creativity, Identity and the Business of Design.

Beyond the runway, Lilly Alfonso is a visionary leader and mentor. In collaboration with the British Council, she serves as a Creative DNA Lead Partner, supporting emerging Malawian designers through mentorship, business development, and international collaboration. Guided by her 100-Year Vision, she has mentored over 1,500 emerging creatives, championing African talent and positioning Malawi as a rising voice in global fashion.
