Born on 9 February 1987, Ashley holds a BCom in Marketing and Business Management from Oxford Brookes University. Ashley’s entrepreneurial rise began with a fundamental belief: the power to unite people, resolve tension, and create agreement is a multimillion-rand skill.

On this foundation, he built King Glenack Projects, a multimillion-rand consulting firm defined by Ashley’s hallmark expertise—conflict resolution. In a business environment where deals often collapse due to mistrust, King Glenack Projects has become the space where alignment and resolution happen.

Ashley also expanded into the energy solutions sector, collaborating with High Voltage Power Solutions to deliver a R130 million world-class substation in Honeydew for City Power.

His signature institutional accomplishment is the co-founding of the Eagles Eye Business Chamber, where he serves as Executive Chairperson. More than a traditional chamber of commerce, Eagles Eye is disrupting and redefining the business-chamber ecosystem—focusing on economic engineering, high-impact collaboration, and legacy-driven empowerment.

POLITICAL LEADERSHIP & ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Ashley’s political leadership has always been results-driven.

As ANCYL Ward 97 Chairperson (2013–2016) and later Zone 5 Roodepoort Chairperson (2016–2020), he used each role to drive tangible economic change.

Through the ANCYL, leveraging strategic relationships and conflict-resolution excellence, Ashley facilitated multiple multimillion-rand private-sector deals, directly benefitting 40+ SMMEs and creating employment for 100+ young South Africans.

One of his most celebrated triumphs:

A historic clean-sweep victory in Ward 97, where all 10 Ward Committee seats were won by the ANC—a once-unimaginable result. Ashley served as the chief strategist and mobiliser behind this political milestone, later becoming Ward Governance Member for Economic Development, turning electoral success into policy influence.

He further served as:

• Chairperson, Young Communist League (YCL) Ward 97 (2020–2021)
• ANCYL Johannesburg Task Team (2020–2022)

cementing his legacy as a dynamic and trusted young leader within Greater Johannesburg.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP & SOCIAL IMPACT

Ashley’s most profound impact is seen in the communities he serves.

When 200 residents of Ward 97 were illegally evicted overnight, Ashley led a march to City authorities, coordinated emergency supplies, and fought relentlessly until a permanent solution was secured. This resulted in the establishment of Ikemeleng Village in Honeydew and the relocation of more than 20 families to the Fleurhof New Housing Development.

His community initiatives also include:

• Feeding schemes for vulnerable residents
• Large-scale blanket distribution drives
• Direct engagement with the City of Johannesburg to formalise informal settlements
• Facilitating bursaries for disadvantaged youth
• Advocacy for exploited construction workers, ensuring direct resolution at the management level

His ANCYL branch was recognised as one of only five fully active branches in Greater Johannesburg—two from Zone 5 under his leadership.
