Clevenard to Honour Prof. Nosisi N. Feza at the 2026 Clevenard Open Project 5th Edition and Clevenard Global Awards – 3rd Edition in Alicante, Spain

Alicante, Spain – February 16, 2026 — Clevenard SL proudly announces that Prof. Nosisi N. Feza, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Internationalisation at Walter Sisulu University, South Africa, will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

The distinguished accolade will be formally presented on Day 4 – Sunday, 30 August 2026, during the Clevenard Global Award – 3rd Edition, the flagship awards ceremony of the four-day event, held alongside the International Fashion Runway. This ceremony celebrates global leaders whose influence transcends borders, institutions, and generations.

In addition to receiving the honorary award, Prof. Feza will deliver a keynote address on Day 1 (27 August) during the Global Authors’ Recognition & Education Summit, sharing her expertise and insights on advancing mathematics education and early childhood learning in Africa.

About Prof. Nosisi N. Feza

Prof. Feza has achieved remarkable strides in the field of mathematics education, earning her PhD and establishing a career defined by academic excellence, innovation, and transformative leadership. Her journey began as a research assistant to Prof. D.H. Clements, contributing to early childhood learning trajectories for mathematics and igniting a lifelong passion for early mathematics education.

Her research highlights the language complexities affecting mathematics teaching and learning among young children in South Africa, and her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including:

• NRF C-Rating for research excellence
• Recognition as a Diversity Scholar by Michigan University, USA (2009)
• Women Leading in STEM Award, HERS SA (2023)
• Achiever Award, Nelson Mandela University (2023)

Prof. Feza has actively contributed to the TIMSS study, authored 41 peer-reviewed publications, 13 book chapters, 2 books, 3 peer-reviewed reports, and an English-IsiXhosa Mathematics dictionary. Her executive leadership spans multiple institutions, including roles as Director of the Institute of Science and Technology Education at the University of South Africa, Dean of Humanities at the Central University of Technology, Rector of Buffalo City Campus at Walter Sisulu University, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Venda.

Currently, she serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Internationalisation at Walter Sisulu University, driving innovation, collaboration, and international engagement.
