Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, renowned global public leader and High Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom, will be honoured with a prestigious Honorary Award at the Clevenard Open Project 2026, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos, Alicante, Spain.

The honorary distinction will be formally presented on Day 4 — Sunday, 30 August 2026, during the Clevenard Global Award – 3rd Edition 2026, the flagship awards ceremony of the Clevenard Open Project held alongside the International Fashion Runway. The ceremony celebrates exceptional global leaders whose influence transcends borders, institutions, and generations.

In addition to receiving the honorary award, His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh will deliver two distinguished keynote addresses during the forum:

About His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh

His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh is a distinguished diplomat, academic, and statesman who currently serves as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with additional non-resident accreditation to Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. Since his appointment on 15 October 2019, he has become a leading voice in advancing Sierra Leone’s global relations through diplomacy, governance, education, and sustainable development.

With over 30 years of academic and research leadership, Dr. Manyeh holds a PhD in Language Education from the University of Leeds (UK) and a BA in Education from Njala University College, University of Sierra Leone. His academic legacy includes serving as Senior Lecturer, Head of the Department of Language Education, and membership in the University Senate and Court at Njala University. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta, Canada, and as a consultant to major international organisations including the World Bank, UNDP, AfDB, Plan International, USAID/MSI, and OSIWA.

Prior to his diplomatic appointment, Dr. Manyeh served as Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, where he implemented governance reforms and advanced transparency within the extractive sector. His public service record also includes strategic leadership roles with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the Central Bank of Sierra Leone, the Sierra Leone Opportunities Industrialisation Centre (SLOIC), and the National Commission for Democracy.

Dr. Manyeh has played a significant role in Sierra Leone’s political development, having been a Flag Bearer aspirant and later Chairman and Leader of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).

Internationally, he is recognised for his influential role within the Commonwealth, where he serves as Chairman of the Commonwealth Foundation Grants Committee, shaping participatory governance and civil society empowerment across member states.

During his diplomatic tenure in the United Kingdom, Dr. Manyeh has championed strategic partnerships in education, conservation, governance, international cooperation, and social inclusion. His collaborations include work with the Oxford Africa Conference, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) on Gola Rainforest conservation, and UK institutions promoting legal advancement, environmental protection, and disability rights.

He is also an advocate for sustainable tourism, cultural diplomacy, and global development cooperation, and was nominated for the Clevenard Media Award 2025 for Diplomatic Leadership & Global Policy Impact.

Dr. Manyeh is admired globally for his integrity, statesmanship, and lifelong dedication to education, national development, and international partnership. He is married to Mrs. Marie Manyeh, who actively supports his diplomatic and community engagements.
