Clevenard to Honour Hon. Lynette Karenyi at the 2026 Clevenard Global Award – 3rd Edition in Alicante, Spain

Alicante, Spain — Clevenard SL is proud to announce that Hon. Lynette Karenyi, renowned Zimbabwean thought leader and parliamentarian, will be honoured at the Clevenard Open Project 2026, taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos Alicante, Spain.

The recognition will take place on Day 4 — Sunday, 30 August 2026, during the Clevenard Global Award – 3rd Edition 2026 and the International Fashion Runway, celebrating exceptional global leaders, innovators, and creatives.

About Hon. Lynette Karenyi

Hon. Lynette Karenyi is a distinguished Zimbabwean politician, legislator, and advocate for social development, gender equality, and public health. She currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Chikanga Constituency under the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC).

With a career spanning over two decades, Hon. Karenyi has built a reputation as a dedicated leader committed to community empowerment and democratic governance. She began her political journey in 1999 under the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), quickly rising to hold key leadership roles including Vice President of the MDC Alliance Women’s Assembly and National Chairperson for the Women’s Assembly.

Notably, she was the first opposition councillor elected for Ward 16 in Mutare City Council and has served as Southern Region Commissioner for the Women’s Academy for Africa. Today, she is also the Vice Chairperson of the SADC Parliamentary Forum Standing Committee on Human and Social Development and Special Programmes and an active member of the Global TB Caucus, championing public health and legislative leadership against tuberculosis.

A graduate of Zimbabwe Open University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Development Studies, Hon. Karenyi has also completed specialized training in leadership and governance. Beyond politics, she is recognized for her mentorship of young leaders, grassroots engagement, and tireless advocacy for social equity.
