About Grace Alexander
Grace Alexander is the Founder and award-winning CEO of the Star Children Development Initiative (SCDI), a UK-based organization supporting Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Inspired by her own lived experience as a mother of a child with a disability, Grace launched SCDI to raise awareness about disability rights, provide educational support, and advocate for inclusive systems that empower every child.
A trauma-informed care specialist and certified Strength Factory Coach, Grace blends professional expertise with lived experience. She understands the emotional, psychological, and systemic pressures faced by families navigating disability and long-term care, as well as the social stigma and lack of resources that often accompany it.
Grace is a passionate advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and aligns her work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that no child or family is left behind.
