For seven years, she also served as Chair of the Board of Advisors at Red Sea Global, another multibillion-dollar giga project under Saudi Vision 2030, pioneering a new era of responsible international tourism.

She serves on the Board of Patrizia SE—a publicly listed German real estate powerhouse with €70 billion in assets under management—as well as on the Board of Elaf Group, a subsidiary of SEDCO Holding, leading the MENA region in religious tourism. She also sits on the Board of the Global Wellness Institute (USA), the foremost authority on the $6.3 trillion wellness economy.

Her career includes strategic roles with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) across Europe and Asia, and extensive hands-on experience in India’s hospitality sector. Her global expertise has made her a trusted advisor to Presidents, Prime Ministers, and policymakers, guiding them on how to harness tourism as a catalyst for inclusive growth and human progress.

Dr. Khowala’s remarkable achievements have earned her multiple international honors. In 2025, she was named among the “25 Most Influential South Asians in London” by Asian Standard, recognizing her trailblazing leadership in tourism and public policy. From 2021 to 2024, she was listed among the “100 Most Powerful People in Global Hospitality” and the “25 Most Influential Women in Travel and Tourism” by the International Hospitality Institute.

Her long list of accolades includes the Chairman’s Award from the Global Chamber of Commerce (USA) for Outstanding Peer Leadership, recognition by City Nation Place (UK) as an Inspirational Woman Rethinking Sustainable Tourism, and the 21st Century Icon Award from CNBC and the London School of Economics. In 2014, Swiss magazine Bilan named her among the “50 Most Influential Next Generation Leaders” shaping the future of luxury hospitality.

A captivating public speaker, Dr. Khowala has delivered keynotes and masterclasses at global events such as TEDx, the Future Hospitality Summit, the Global Wellness Summit, and FIBO, captivating audiences from 100 to 5,000 attendees. Her TEDx talk, nearing one million views, reflects her rare ability to connect emotion with insight.

As a prolific thought leader, she has written over 200 articles in major international publications and is a regular commentator on global television networks. Dr. Khowala holds a Professional Doctorate in Tourism Leadership and Sustainability from the European International University (EIU) Paris, an MBA from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (Switzerland), and has completed executive education at Cornell University (New York) and the University of Cambridge (UK). She is also a Certified NLP Practitioner and holds an International Board Certification from INSEAD.
