Palma de Mallorca, Spain — The vibrant Mediterranean city of Palma de Mallorca will, for the first time, play host to the Clevenard Media Award 2025, an international celebration of outstanding excellence in media, entrepreneurship, fashion, innovation, culture, and community leadership.
This landmark edition, organized by Clevenard SL, aims to recognize visionary individuals and organizations from around the world whose work has significantly contributed to shaping a better, more inclusive, and sustainable future. The event will gather influential entrepreneurs, government officials, creative leaders, NGOs, and change agents from across Africa, Europe, and beyond, marking a milestone in cross-continental collaboration and social innovation.
Among the extraordinary nominees for this year’s awards is Sabrina Said Soud, a distinguished Founder & Executive Director of Thamini Jamii Organization (TJO), an acclaimed Climate Advocate, and an Award-Winning Youth and Women Empowerment Leader from Zanzibar, Tanzania. She has been nominated in the Youth & Women Empowerment Leadership category for her exceptional contribution to uplifting communities and driving sustainable social transformation.
A Visionary Leader from Zanzibar
Sabrina Said Soud is a passionate and purpose-driven Tanzanian changemaker whose work is defined by her deep commitment to empowering women and youth, promoting community development, and advancing climate resilience in Africa. As the Founder and Executive Director of Thamini Jamii Organization (TJO) — meaning “Value the Community” — she has dedicated her career to promoting equality, sustainability, and opportunity for all.
Founded in Zanzibar, TJO focuses on Women’s Empowerment, Civic Engagement, Climate Action, and Livelihood Development, operating as a catalyst for positive social change. Under Sabrina’s visionary leadership, the organization has expanded its impact across the region, delivering life-changing programs that enhance education, self-reliance, and environmental responsibility.
Building a Sustainable Future Through Action
Sabrina’s leadership journey is defined by a deep understanding of the challenges facing women and youth in East Africa. Through her creative and evidence-based approach, she has designed and implemented several initiatives that directly address social and economic barriers.
Among her organization’s flagship projects are:
Protect the Ocean Campaign, which educates youth about marine conservation, waste management, and sustainable fishing practices, helping local communities preserve Zanzibar’s natural heritage.
Women’s Green Legacy – “Economic Empowerment through Moringa Cultivation”, which trains women in sustainable moringa farming, turning environmental conservation into a viable source of income.
Orphans Support Program, which provides vulnerable children in Zanzibar with access to education, healthcare, and emotional wellbeing.
Through these initiatives, Sabrina not only empowers individuals but also builds stronger, more resilient communities grounded in sustainability, dignity, and self-sufficiency.
Expanding Influence Across Africa
Beyond Thamini Jamii Organization, Sabrina’s influence extends to other high-impact platforms that amplify her mission. She currently serves as Finance Lead for the Green Samia Foundation, a youth-led movement inspired by the transformative leadership of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
This initiative, guided by the Ministry of State, Vice President’s Office for Climate, Environment, and Union Affairs, mobilizes youth to take part in climate diplomacy, environmental policy advocacy, and sustainable development across the nation. Sabrina’s financial expertise and strategic acumen ensure transparency, innovation, and accountability in all operations.
She also serves as Treasurer of the Zanzibar U.S. State Alumni Association, where she provides leadership in financial planning and supports programs that foster leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement among alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs.
In 2023, Sabrina was appointed Ambassador for Chumbe Island Coral Park, where she promoted marine conservation and climate awareness through education and advocacy campaigns, encouraging sustainable tourism practices in Zanzibar.
