A Fellow of multiple professional institutions and a decorated community leader, Engr. Chief Chukwurah is a retired Director of Physical Planning and Works Services at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Even in retirement, he continues to champion environmental consciousness and climate action, bridging education, policy, and grassroots initiatives.

As President of the ECCCGEF, he actively promotes:

• Climate change mitigation
• Renewable energy solutions
• Tree planting initiatives
• Environmental education and advocacy

He is the visionary behind the Journal of Total Quality Environment and Green Energy, launched in 2025, and the author/compiler of the Anthology of Poems on Climate Change, drawn from his 2024 Green Poetry Competition themed “Our Climate: Our Future.” This national competition aimed to raise environmental awareness among Nigerian youth through creative expression.

Key Achievements in 2024–2025

• Planted 12 economic trees in all five quarters of Asaba, in partnership with local traditional leaders (Okpala-Ukwus)
• Planted 60 trees at FUPRE Warri and 20 at the Delta State Government House

Launched a Q2 expansion plan for tree orchards in:

• Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku
• Southern Delta University, Ozoro
• College of Environmental Health Technology, Ughelli

Appointed Tree Planting and Nurturing Ambassadors in all 25 LGAs of Delta State, in collaboration with the Delta State Association of Environmental Health Officers

Selected as the 2025 Fellowship Conferment Lecturer at the Nigerian Institute of Procurement Engineers, with a lecture titled: “Sustainable Public Procurement in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Projects in Nigeria”

Through these groundbreaking efforts, Engr. Chief Chukwurah continues to bridge policy, environmental science, and social consciousness for a more sustainable Nigeria.
