.Hilda Dokubo is a Nigerian award-winning film actress, author, social justice advocate, and politician. Hilda Dokubo has left a history in Nollywood.
Born in Buguma, Rivers State, she completed her primary and secondary education there before pursuing a bachelor’s degree and master’s degrees in Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt.
Dokubo made her screen debut during her youth service (NYSC) in the 1992 film “Evil Passion.” Since then, she has graced the screen with her emotional performances in several Nigerian films, including “Gone Forever,” “End of the Wicked,” “My Goodwill,” and “The CEO”.
Her portrayal of Stella in “End of the Wicked” showcased her depth and ability to evoke powerful emotions. In 2015, her supporting role in “Stigma” earned her the Best Actress award at the 11th Africa Movie Academy Awards. Beyond acting, Dokubo founded the Centre for Creative Arts Education (CREATE), which empowers women and youth through the creative arts.
