FEARLESSBG FOUNDATION

FEARLESSBG FOUNDATION

I never had much privileges growing up, I was living with my grandmother, and her children who were my peers. My mom was 19 years when she had me, so she had to pursue academically. My grandmother was struggling so much with me specifically, because her husband was my mom's stepfather and he never really liked me! My grandmother would sometimes have to take me to other people's homes to live there for a while. She would move me from home to home, eventually she decided to take me to her brother's house where I lived a bit longer, from creche to grade 3, then called Std 1.

Things got better as I grew up, my grandmother's husband was not as bad as before, my grandmother took me back to live with them. It was not so nice where I came from, I guess they were somehow tired of me, I was still going to school that side and had to catch a taxi to school at that age of 7 years. I remember vividly that there was a cousin of my mom's where I used to live who used to beat me up almost everyday, enslavering me in many ways, in our language today I can say abusing me! I remember one day when she beat me with a wet dish cloth and my face had a big blister! I was to go to school like that, as if I was burnt.

Life was not so good for me growing up, barely eating when I'm going to school and even coming back, I would come back to a home that had nothing to eat. My grandmother found me a school closer and things got better when I was walking to a nearby school, I would sometimes go home during lunch break, though it was a bit far and sometimes I would come back when pupils were back to classes. I then found a friend who started bringing me my own lunchbox too, she told her mom about me and she started caring two lunchboxes. When she was not caring lunchbox, she would bring me lunch money. I will never forget all that gesture and kindness and I will never forget her for all that, I'm always emotional when I think about her. I'm even glad that I got to reconcile with her as we are adults like this, though I regretted it later, story for another day when I'm ready!

I really don't like it when I see poor disadvantaged people, it touches me and takes me back! I'm a very big giver because of that, though some people took advantage of me so much and that continues because of my heart. I had to start cooking and feed the needy in the streets, some are homeless people and some are people who stand at the corners looking for jobs. It's so fulfilling for me to help them like that, I sometimes feel like doing more, cause it's never enough.

I decided to start a foundation and try to do it as much as possible and help even more people! The name of the foundation is Fearlessbg, I want to also have homes for the homeless and orphans one day if God willing! I'm just hoping to receive help from people with the hearts like mine, I'm hoping to get funds and resources. It is well! The journey is long!
