Freda Akullu, the Investment Manager for Tourism & Project Coordinator in Uganda for the EU Tourism Grant Facility, met with Tourism Consultant Dr. Alain St.Ange at the "Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo" (POATE) in Uganda.

Dr. Alain St.Ange, a renowned Seychelles tourism personality and former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine, has been active across the African Continent and the ASEAN Block. He met Freda Akullu at the Official Opening Ceremony of the 8th Edition of the "Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo" (POATE), East Africa's premier tourism event, which was inaugurated by the Vice President of Uganda.

During their meeting, St.Ange and Akullu discussed potential opportunities related to St.Ange's extensive expertise in tourism. Invited to Uganda by Minister Tom R. Butime, the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, St.Ange explored collaborations and projects with Akullu in her capacity as Project Coordinator for the EU Tourism Grant Facility.

St.Ange, well-versed in the growth potentials and existing opportunities in African tourism, used the occasion to discuss his consultancy work. As the founding President of the African Tourism Board, he highlighted the potential of his "Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy" and its alignment with the Development Bank Tourism Desk. Their discussion focused on how these initiatives could support Uganda and other African nations in consolidating tourism as a vital economic industry.
