AFRICANS RISING FOR A BORDERLESS AFRICA

AFRICANS RISING FOR A BORDERLESS AFRICA

In 1957, when Ghana emerged as the first black African Nation in the south of the Sahara to gain independence from the colonial masters, the British; all Africans hailed that achievement and held it in high esteem. Little did we know or realize that it only set the pace for self-imposed colonization and limitations to that total African Liberation. African countries have chosen to create yet another boundary to restrict and curtail the movement of her own citizens .

While it is understood that the earlier borders created by the Europeans came as a colonial tool against Africans, the borders however still remain as an unbearable obstacle to achieving the United States of Africa of our dream. We are therefore, calling for
a Free-visa Africa for Africans; NOW!

We must say No humiliation, harassment and exploitation of Africans within Africa by Africans in the name of borders. There must be smooth cross-border trade amongst African countries, especially now that the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) has come to stay with us, today.

A Borderless Africa has the potential to greatly improve the lives of African people in many ways:-

First and foremost, Freedom of movement:
Africans can travel, live, and work anywhere on the continent without restrictions.

Secondly, Economic opportunities:
A borderless Africa can lead to increased economic integration, trade, and
investment, creating more jobs and opportunities for Africans.

Thirdly, Cultural exchange:
Africans can share their diverse cultures, traditions, and ideas more freely, promoting cross-cultural understanding and unity.

A borderless Africa can facilitate the sharing of resources, expertise, and knowledge, improving access to quality education and healthcare.

Again, Political unity:
A borderless Africa can foster greater political unity and cooperation, enabling Africans to speak with one voice on the global stage.

Furthermore, Empowerment of women and youth:
A borderless Africa can create more opportunities for women and youth to participate in economic, political, and social spheres.

Moreover, Preservation of African identity:
A borderless Africa can help preserve and promote African cultures, languages, and traditions.

Another area of benefit a borderless Africa can facilitate is Increased innovation:
A borderless Africa can facilitate the sharing of ideas and expertise, driving innovation and progress.

Last, but not the lest is Improved infrastructure:
A borderless Africa can lead to increased investment in infrastructure, connecting cities, towns, and villages across the continent.

Finally, it will significantly lead to Enhanced global influence:
A united and integrated Africa can play a more significant role in global affairs, promoting peace, security, and sustainable development.

Let us all unite and build a brighter future for Africa, Africans and her future generations.

Africa must unite!!!
