May 3, 2024, ALAIN ST. ANGE APPOINTED LEAD PATRON FOR JAMAICA-BASED COUNTRYSTYLE COMMUNITY TOURISM NETWORK (CCTN) VILLAGES AS BUSINESSES AND IIPT CARIBBEAN.

Mrs. Diana McIntyre-Pike, Founder/President of the Jamaica-based CountryStyle Community Tourism Network (CCTN) Villages as Businesses and President of the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT) Caribbean, has appointed Alain St. Ange as their Lead Patron.

St. Ange, currently a Tourism Consultant heading the “Saint Ange Consultancy,” brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He began his journey in tourism as the Seychelles Director of Marketing in 2009 and swiftly rose to become CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board in 2010. St. Ange's dedication and passion for tourism propelled him to lead the industry in Seychelles with remarkable style and devotion.

During his tenure, St. Ange served as Minister of Tourism and Culture for Seychelles, later being re-appointed by President Danny Faure in 2016 as the Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine. His relentless efforts to promote Seychelles as a premier travel destination led to significant growth in the country's tourism sector.

Beyond Seychelles, St. Ange has played pivotal roles in various international tourism initiatives. He was elected as the first President of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Organisation in 2012, aiming to establish a new tourism destination brand. In 2018, he became the founding President of the African Tourism Board (ATB) and co-chaired Project Hope, an African initiative in response to the COVID pandemic.

St. Ange's contributions have been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including the highest honor from Madagascar and commendations from regional leaders for his efforts in fostering cooperation among Indian Ocean Islands.

A tireless advocate for sustainable tourism and community empowerment, St. Ange's leadership has inspired positive change in the tourism landscape.
