PRESS RELEASE: ATM IN DUBAI

Seychelles' former Minister, Alain St.Ange, has confirmed his participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, alongside numerous other upcoming tourism events.

Speaking to the Dubai press recently, St.Ange, who previously served as Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine in Seychelles, and is the founding President of both the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands and the African Tourism Board, expressed his plans for ATM.

He will be present during the first week of May to conduct various tourism planning meetings and visit an exhibition stand that he actively contributed to for this significant tourism trade fair. Additionally, formal discussions with Dr. Jens Thraenhart of Thailand are scheduled to finalize plans for a new service aimed at providing unbiased and trusted advice to Tourism Ministers and CEOs of Destination Marketing Organizations, aiding in navigating the challenges of managing tourism as a vital economic sector for a jurisdiction.

Following his engagements in Dubai, St.Ange will travel to London, UK, where he is honored as the Chief Guest at a 'Global Achievers Summit' hosted at the University of Oxford. Presently, he serves as a Tourism Consultant leading the "Saint Ange Consultancy," which was responsible for the widely distributed weekly "Saint Ange Tourism Report" until the end of 2020. St.Ange also holds various significant roles in the global tourism community, including Vice President of the World Travel Network (WTN), appointed as Vice Chairman for Tourism Division of the African-Asian Union (AFASU), Vice Chairman of the AFASU Golden Awards Committee, among other esteemed positions.

Looking ahead, St.Ange's schedule remains packed with engagements, including the June "Africa Travel And Investment" (ATIS) Summit in New York, USA, in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and other African tourism organizations. This will be followed by the "Financing Investment and Trade in Africa" (FITA) Summit in Tunisia. Additionally, he will be a Special Guest of Honour at a July gathering of hospitality and tourism scholars in Africa, focusing on driving business solutions for African business development in Lagos, Nigeria.

Throughout his career, St.Ange has demonstrated an unwavering passion for the tourism industry, drawing from his extensive experience working in hotels across Seychelles, the Channel Islands, and Australia. His profound knowledge and ability to articulate tourism and air transport matters on the international stage have earned him respect and recognition, making him a sought-after figure in global tourism discussions. Recently, he concluded an 8-Series lecture tour on a luxury floating residence, spanning 30 days cruising the coast of Southern and Eastern Africa, reaffirming his commitment to the industry he cherishes.
