Zanzibar's Tourism Minister Embarks on Luxury Liner for Talks with Alain St.Ange of Seychelles

Hon. Mudrik Ramadhan Soraga, the Tourism Minister of Zanzibar, led a delegation from his Ministry and the Ports Authority on a productive visit aboard an exclusive luxury liner as it anchored in Zanzibar.

After a comprehensive tour of the vessel, Minister Soraga engaged in discussions with Alain St.Ange, former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine of Seychelles, who now heads the esteemed 'Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy'.

The meeting between Minister Soraga and former Minister St.Ange revolved around tourism development strategies, with a focus on Zanzibar's desire for heightened visibility and ongoing communication with tour operators and the press—essential components for the growth of Zanzibar's tourism sector and that of greater Tanzania.


Conversations also delved into the Cruise Tourism market, exploring Zanzibar's aspirations to become a premier port of call.

Accompanying Minister Soraga on the luxury liner and in the meeting with Alain St.Ange were Dr. Aboud Suleiman Aboud, the Permanent Secretary; Mr. Akif Ali Khamis, Director-General of Zanzibar Ports Corporation; Mrs. Septuu Hafidh Khalfan, Personal Assistant to the Minister; Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Juma, Director for Tourism; Mr. Samora John Chacha, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Tourism; Mr. Mussa Hassan Mussa, the Official Photographer; Mr. Fahmi Suleiman Salum, another Official Photographer; and Mehboob Champsi from the Minister's Private Office.

Both Minister Mudrik Ramadhan Soraga and former Minister Alain St.Ange expressed satisfaction with the meeting's outcomes and expressed eagerness to sustain dialogue and explore further opportunities for collaboration.
