Mafia Island of Tanzania was the venue for the most informal setting for an Official Meeting by Mrs Aziza Mangosongo, the DC of the island and Alain St.Ange of Seychelles

The meeting between Mrs. Aziza Mangosongo, the District Commissioner of Mafia Island, Tanzania, and Alain St.Ange, the former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine of Seychelles, held on the picturesque beaches of Mafia Island, marked a significant step towards fostering cooperation in the tourism industry.

During the meeting, both parties discussed strategies to enhance tourism on Mafia Island, leveraging its unique selling points such as whale shark viewing excursions. Mr. St.Ange, now heading his consultancy firm, Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy, provided his expertise and insights to support Mrs. Mangosongo's vision for the island's tourism development.

The informal setting of the meeting, against the backdrop of Mafia Island's natural beauty, facilitated open dialogue and collaboration between the two officials. It also served as an opportunity for Mr. St.Ange to engage with the local administration and offer tailored solutions to boost tourism and attract investors to the island.

Following the meeting, both Mrs. Mangosongo and Mr. St.Ange expressed their commitment to further explore avenues for cooperation, including organizing press visits to showcase the unique attractions of Mafia Island.

Mrs. Mangosongo, in coordination with her island administration, will follow up on the points discussed during the meeting and communicate with Mr. St.Ange regarding the island's chosen approach for collaboration. This exchange of ideas and strategies is poised to contribute positively to Mafia Island's tourism industry and its overall development.
