Omu Martha Dunkwu Goes Home
Obi Martha was the Omu of Okpanam kingdom from Anioma nation. A veteran journalist with years of experience in the media industry.
Clevenard.com met her last year at the NAPTAP conference in Asaba. We had a chat with her and she was full of life discussing her education and her contributions to the development of the girl child.
Many attested to the fact that she was a strong pillar in the development of women in the state.
As a friend of clevenard.com, we had plans to use the media to contribute to the good work she had started within her community but it wasn't to be.
Few days ago, when we heard of her demise, I just pondered the mystery of it all.
How we all sleep every night with plans for the next day that might not be. And then I wonder, why many of us still choose to brag over life we have no control over.
We condole with the family she left behind and pray that the good Lord will grant them fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
