PRESS RELEASE AND A LETTER Of DISCLAIMER.

The leadership of NADECO USA, hereby brings to the knowledge of the general public that NADECO USA, is a distinct, separate and independent organization fully registered in the US since July 1995. Although NADECO USA was founded by the same individuals who had earlier in 1994 formed NADECO in Nigeria as a direct consequence of the annulment of the June 12th, 1993 presidential election, it has since remained Nigeria's premiere and foremost pro-democracy organization in the United States of America. NADECO USA's independence, and political and ethnoreligious neutrality have remained the cornerstone of its development and influence in the global arena.

This was the disclosure by Comrade David Adenekan, Publicity Secretary of NADECO USA in a statement made available to journalists on Monday 3rd July, 2023.

The NADECO USA spokesman, while revealing the focus of the group reiterated that, "We are a registered organization in the United States of America and we are not in any way, part of the Chief Ayo Opadokun-led "NADECO RENEWAL." He stated.

However, that the establishment of NADECO in the 90's has yielded positive results, regardless of the shortfall in our democracy cannot be overemphasized.

Also, NADECO USA is in tandem with the democratic values, philosophy and vision of the founding fathers of the NADECO that was formed in the 90's.

We are a registered organization in the United States of America and we are not in any way, part of the Chief Ayo Opadokun led "NADECO RENEWAL."

Suffice to say it, we have strong working relationship with the old leadership structure of NADECO in Nigeria.

It is also pertinent to say that the NADECO USA was provoked from the womb of both the old leadership structure of NADECO at home (Nigeria) and in United States. Dr. Lloyd Ukwu, the Executive Director of NADECO USA is one of the bridging gaps between the old NADECO structure and NADECO USA.

Yes, Dr. Lloyd Ukwu was part of the leadership structure when NADECO was founded in the USA in the nineties.

We also want to say clearly that NADECO USA is not at media war with any organization that has borrowed the acronyms; meaning NADECO called "NADECO RENEWAL" but we are focused on the vision of the founding fathers, to deepen democracy in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
NADECO is not a political tool to be used by politicians in Nigeria and it will never align itself with any group whose sole purpose to acquire personal gains. NADECO USA stands for democratic growth and good governance for the Nigerian people.

Consequently, it has become imperative to get the record straight that NADECO USA is an offshoot of the NADECO that was founded by the likes of Chief Ndubisi Kalu, Rtd Air Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, Dr. Bekolari Ransome Kuti, Chief Alex Ibru (Publisher of Guardian Newspaper), Alhaja Kudurat Abiola (wife of late Basorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola), Chief Ralph Obioha, Commodore Dan Suleiman, Chief Kokori.

Others are Pa. Abraham Adesanya, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Chief Bola Ige, Chief Alao Aka Bashorun, Pa. Edwin Clark, Baba Omojola, Pa Reuben Fasanranti, Chief Anthony Enahoro, Pa Alfred Rewane, Chief Olu Falae, Chief Supo Sonibare, Senator Kofoworola-Bucknor Akereleand host of others.

Again, for the sake of posterity, we unequivocally say that we are not in any way part of the organizational structure of Chief Ayo Opadokun-led "NADECO RENEWAL."

PLEASE, WE WANT THE PUBLIC INCLUDING MEDIA HOUSES LIKE CHANNELS TV, AIT, TVC, AND ARISE NEWS IN NIGERIA TO TAKE A VERY SERIOUS NOTE OF THIS VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.
