The 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections commenced in Edo state in a peaceful and Organized manner and our correspondent who visited some wards accross the state report that the process was hitch free.

At Oredo local government area John Oyegun public service Academy Etete G R A ward 1 units 1 and 2 the voting exercise went on smoothly, Some of the electorate who excercised their franchise commended the INEC officials and the security agencies for the peaceful and fair process.

The former inspector general of police Solomon Arase who also voted at Oredo local government area ward 1 unit 2 appreciated the peaceful process of the election. In the same vein the AIG Ede Ayuba promised that the peace observed will be sustained even after the election.

At Oredo local government area George Idah primary school ihama ward 2 unit 044 some electorate who spoke to our correspondent described the process as peaceful and commended the INEC for a job well done.

At Etete Junction Off ward 2 unit 051 Adesuwa grammar school road, some electorate couldn't find their names on the voters register and the electorate expressed disatisfaction on INEC for not being able to provide their names on the register.

At Ikpoba Okha local government area St Maria goretti school ward 6 units 13 to18 were electorate was seen excercising their franchise peacefully, but however some electorate complained about that the BVAS machine was malfunctioning

At Oredo local government area Asoro primary School ward 10 unit1- 11 the electorate complained about the INEC officials for arriving late and some electorate wasn't able to find their names on the register.

At Oredo local government area Emokpae primary school Ward 4 units 19 - 28 were the Governor voted and the atmosphere was peaceful. The Governor said that BVAS technology used by INEC is welcome development.

At Oredo local government area Ugbague junction ward 12 Were voting was disrupted and electorate was deprived from excercising their franchise.

At Oredo local government area Ezoti primary school ward 1 units 7- 9 were the State All P C youth leader Comrade Tony kabaka Adun who voted said the process was peaceful but complained that most voters has been disenfranchised because their names was not found on the voters register.
