Sineu market, one of the oldest in Mallorca, with over 700 years of history, instituted by Jaime II of Mallorca in 1306, was the main market for trading of the farmers of the island for centuries

Sineu is one of the busiest, is held every Wednesday of the year, has
its loyal following of Mallorca, country people and tourists, is the
only one sale of live animals, especially indigenous breeds of Mallorca,
Menorca and Ibiza .

Tour
operators usually organized during visits always include a visit to the market because much interest as it offers a wide commercial variety: vegetables, fruits, livestock, flowers, trees, tools, agricultural machinery and especially clothing, footwear and objects gift sellers make a proposal which come mostly from Palma (50%), but also many other areas in the island.

Another
attraction that leads many people to Sineu market is its cuisine, renowned resort for many years, is typical "the Majorcan fried" as well as the train that runs through the center of Mallorca
