Keynote Speaker: Diane Felix

Date: Friday, 28 August 2026

Keynote Topic: "Building Economic Resilience Through Food Security, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Community Development"

Her presentation will explore practical strategies for creating sustainable local economies, empowering communities through entrepreneurship, strengthening food security systems, promoting environmental stewardship, and creating employment opportunities that foster long-term prosperity and social stability.

Born on 25 May 1978 in Saint Martin, Diane Felix has dedicated her life to advancing social and economic development throughout her community. Her journey of service began through humanitarian work with organisations including the Red Cross, where she supported vulnerable individuals and families while gaining valuable insight into the social realities facing local communities.

As a successful entrepreneur and founder of a local cleaning company, Diane has consistently championed economic empowerment, job creation, and opportunities for small businesses. Her professional experience has enabled her to understand firsthand the challenges faced by workers, entrepreneurs, and families seeking economic security and upward mobility.

Driven by a commitment to meaningful change, Diane became actively engaged in grassroots politics and later contested local elections, the French Legislative Elections representing Saint Martin, and the European Elections. Throughout her public service journey, she has advocated for policies focused on food security, agriculture, fisheries, youth employment, environmental sustainability, affordable housing, public safety, and economic self-sufficiency.

Diane Felix is widely recognised for promoting an ambitious and transformative development vision centred on the creation of 10,000 jobs through agriculture, fisheries, bamboo cultivation, calabash production, medicinal plant industries, food processing, environmental enterprises, and waste management initiatives. Her vision highlights the importance of local production, innovation, and sustainable development as critical pathways to reducing poverty, strengthening food sovereignty, and building resilient economies.

Her leadership continues to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, community advocates, and emerging leaders committed to creating opportunities and improving quality of life for all citizens. Through her work, Diane Felix has become a respected voice for social justice, economic independence, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development in Saint Martin and across the Caribbean region.

Commenting on the recognition, Clevenard stated:

"Diane Felix exemplifies the spirit of visionary leadership and community-driven transformation. Her commitment to economic empowerment, food security, sustainable development, and social progress reflects the values that the Clevenard Global Awards seek to celebrate. We are honoured to welcome her to Alicante and to recognise her outstanding contributions to Saint Martin and the wider Caribbean region."
