Professor Clyde Herman Phillip is a globally respected Chartered Electrical Engineer, eminent academic, and senior diplomat serving as the Roving Ambassador for the State of the African Diaspora (SOAD). Born in San Fernando to Andrew and Johanna Phillip, he has spent more than four decades shaping engineering innovation, academic excellence, and sovereign advisory across continents.
Recognized by Marquis Who’s Who as a Noteworthy Electrical and Electronic Engineer Educator, he has uniquely bridged the divide between industrial telecommunications and higher education. As Executive Director for Human Capital Development (HCD), he leads the development of a groundbreaking professional licensure framework for the Caribbean and wider region.
