In 1990, Sindi became the second Black woman Chartered Accountant in South Africa — a milestone that broke barriers and paved the way for countless young women in business, finance, and leadership.

She co-founded Nkonki in 1991, building it into one of the most respected Black-owned audit firms in South Africa. As CEO (1998–2016), she led innovative governance frameworks, championed ethical auditing, and redefined industry standards.
